With the holiday season in full swing, one thing is on everyone’s mind; vacation. Holiday dinners and trips to grandmother’s house are house on deck, so now is not a time to let your video encoding tasks bog you down. That’s why we’ve put a lot of effort into providing integration methods that will automate your encoding workflow, so you can stuff your face with pie. While we offer several integration methods, today’s focus will be on our easy to setup watch folder, and our robust and well documented API.
This is an online repository that we can monitor for new content. When new content is detected, we’ll start the encoding task. It’s that easy.
Uses Amazon S3, (S)FTP, or Rackspace CloudFiles as your source location.
Get notified of task status via email, or use a script to post to a URL.
Set a frequency for Encoding.com to check your watch folder, from 5 minutes to 24 hours.
Can process up to 10,000 files simultaneously from a single watch folder location.
We’ve opened up the Encoding.com media service for programmatic access.
The API gives you control over every aspect of our platform, from ingest through delivery, and all points in between.
We make it easy to integrate our services with your application or website. Send your API request to us and just include source information, transcoding options (using one of our many presets!), and delivery locations. We’ll respond immediately with the mediaID for the job, so your app knows the status of the encoding task.
Whether your prefer the robust nature of XML, or the streamlined efficiency of JSON, our API supports the web service of your choosing. We also offer wrappers for every popular development language.
