Create a Cloud Files Container step 2 of 5 |

Login to your Rackspace Cloud account and click Add Container. You can then check the "Publish to CDN" option in the CDN and Meta Data section for any CloudFiles container. This option will enable your container to automatically distribute your video files via the Akamai content delivery network which is ideal for media distribution. |

Show us where your source video is located step 3 of 5 |

Login to encoding.com and click Add Media or Watch Folder (you can also use our API or Desktop Adobe Air application) Point us to your source video location. This can be a publicly available FTP/SFTP/Rackspace CloudFileslocation, or on your hard drive. If you are using a Rackspace CloudFiles container, the source media folder will look like http://rs_user:rs_key@storage.cloudfiles.com/path/video_in Choose how you want to be notified when the job is complete: this can either be an email address, or an HTTP URL in which we will send you XML. Set the Destinationto be the Rackspace CloudFiles location you configured in step 2: http://rs_user:rs_key@storage.cloudfiles.com/path/video_out Encoding.com will output directly to this location. |

To make it very simple, Encoding.com supports a wide range of presets for the most popular Internet and mobile device formats (video, audio, images). Of course, you have complete control and can customize any encoding parameter (size, bitrate, etc). The most popular formats for Internet delivery are the "VP6" and "Flash H.264" presets. |
